Become a Sport Mentor
As a Sport Mentor at Sport 2 Aspire, you’ll work closely with young people who need support to engage with education. You’ll plan and lead activities around their interests, from rugby and football to gym sessions and other ways of being active. Sport gives you a way to build trust, start conversations and help each young person experience success.
You’ll usually work 1:1, adapting sessions to how the young person is feeling that day. Alongside developing their sporting skills, you’ll help them build confidence, manage challenges, form positive relationships and develop skills they can use at school and in everyday life.
We work with a recruitment agency to find Sport Mentors who connect well with young people and share our approach. If the role interests you, email becky@sport2aspire.co.uk and we’ll put you in touch with our recruitment partner.
Donate to Sport 2 Aspire
At Sport 2 Aspire, we support young people who may be finding school difficult through sport, physical activity and 1:1 mentoring. We help them build confidence, develop positive relationships and learn skills that support their return to education and prepare them for adulthood.
Donations help us offer more opportunities and experiences for the young people we work with. This could mean trying a new activity, having the equipment to take part or enjoying an experience that helps them discover an interest they did not know they had. These moments can open up conversations, build trust and give a young person something to feel proud of.
We’re grateful for the support we’ve received from Tesco Community Hub at Bursledon. Support from local businesses and community partners helps us do more for young people, and we appreciate everyone who chooses to get involved.
If you would like to support Sport 2 Aspire, we would love to hear from you. Whether you can make a donation, provide equipment or help create an opportunity for our young people, your contribution can make a meaningful difference.
